Transactions, clayms and proceedings touching the coronation of King Charles the 2, 1661.

Manuscript on paper, in a single hand, of a collection of speeches, proclamations, petitions, and descriptions related to the coronation of King Charles II. The volume begins with records of petitions of various nobility, before the King's Commissioners, "to doe any service at the said day or tyme of Our Coronation." This is followed by a description of the ceremony of the Order of the Garter which took place "whilst his Majesties Commissioners, and others whom he had appointed were employed about the Coronation," providing names of nobility who were installed in the order; the procession to the chapel; and the supper afterwards. The volume then similarly describes the making of Knights of the Bath; the creation of six earls and barons; and the procession of the king's coronation itself.
